Photovoltaics
Photovoltaics, or PV for short, is a technology that converts light directly into electricity. Photovoltaics is also the field of study relating to this technology and there are many research institutes devoted to work on photovoltaics.
The Natural Heritage Department is currently examining the possibility of using Photovoltaics to power the compound. The solar cells are currently in use to provide power to the Harrison's Cave complex it accounts for a quarter of the total power usage on the complex.
